How
does a revolving door work?
·
There are photoelectric sensors on the door cabin which is detecting the
coming person. After the sensors detected the person, the door flaps start to revolve.
·
In right hand traffic countries, revolving doors typically revolve
counter clockwise, allowing people to enter and exit only on the right side of
the door. In left hand traffic countries such as Australia and New Zealand,
revolving doors revolve clockwise, but for example door rotations are mixed in
Britain.
·
While they are revolving, the person can go inside the cabin and he/she
walks with flaps. When the flaps reach passage area, the person will be in the
building. Opposite exit is same.
·
Automatic revolving doors have servo motor, AC Motor, DC motor or DC
motor with encoder to rotate flap.
·
Some revolving door has belt transmission to rotate glass flaps.
·
They can allow bidirectional use.
·
In case of fire or any similar emergency, free exit option is available.
·
Manual revolving doors are working as like pushing flaps.
