How does a revolving door seem?

 


·       Revolving doors seem like glass flaps in a cabin which is going to revolve while people are passing inside or outside. The good thing is that entry and exit at same time is possible with automatic revolving doors.

·       Revolving doors cannot be classified in turnstiles. It can be classified in pedestrian gate categories.

·       They have aesthetic and slim body which is made with stainless steel or aluminium and combined with tempered glasses.

·       The body of revolving door is usually cylinder shape. This oval shape is tinged an elegant appearance.

How does a revolving door work?

·       There are photoelectric sensors on the door cabin which is detecting the coming person. After the sensors detected the person, the door flaps start to revolve.

·       In right hand traffic countries, revolving doors typically revolve counter clockwise, allowing people to enter and exit only on the right side of the door. In left hand traffic countries such as Australia and New Zealand, revolving doors revolve clockwise, but for example door rotations are mixed in Britain.

·       While they are revolving, the person can go inside the cabin and he/she walks with flaps. When the flaps reach passage area, the person will be in the building. Opposite exit is same.

·       Automatic revolving doors have servo motor, AC Motor, DC motor or DC motor with encoder to rotate flap.

·       Some revolving door has belt transmission to rotate glass flaps.

·       They can allow bidirectional use.

·       In case of fire or any similar emergency, free exit option is available.

·       Manual revolving doors are working as like pushing flaps.
