What is a Full Height Turnstile (Cage Type)?

 

·       A turnstile controls the way into or out of a building, room, or area of land, especially one that you have to pay to enter.

·       A cage type full height turnstile is a form of gate which allows one person to pass at a time.

·       Cage Type Full Height Turnstiles can be preferred especially for high security required places.

·       Turnstile rotating arms covered a separate structure for obstructing climbing which is called cage.

·       Their design is similar turnstile canopy that it is very helpful to protect sun light directly. Thus, a spotlight is available on the turnstile roof.

·       Stainless steel turnstiles have aesthetic and slim body which is made with AISI 316 stainless steel commonly.

·       Full height turnstiles have four arms as they are used high security turnstiles. It is possible that some full height turnstiles have triple arm.

·       Double Full Height Turnstile (Cage type) is a solution for 2 people passage same time instead of 2 turnstiles placed if less area is available at site.

·       Led Matrix lights have been on it for guidance.

·       Cage type turnstiles operation is similar as normal turnstiles that it is a post with a number of short poles sticking out from it that have to be pushed round as each person walks through the entrance.

·       After a person has passed, the turnstile arms locking again immediately.

·       In case of fire or any similar emergency situation, free exit option is available.

·       If a full height turnstile is lock while power off, it has been called fail secure full height turnstile. If a full height turnstile is free while power off, it has been called fail safe turnstile.
